QuoteFiber.com (“QuoteFiber,” “we,” “us”) is operated by New Vision Technology Group, Inc., a New Jersey corporation. We are a carrier-neutral procurement service: businesses tell us what connectivity they need at an address, and we obtain and compare pricing from carriers and service providers on their behalf. Information you give us
When you start a quote or contact us, we collect what you enter in the form: the service address, the type of service and bandwidth you need, timing, existing-provider details, and your name, company, email address and phone number. If you email or call us, we keep the correspondence. This service is intended for businesses; we ask that you provide business contact details rather than personal ones.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we use analytics (currently Google Analytics, delivered through Google Tag Manager) to understand how the site is used: pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring site. Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, including IP address, for security and reliability.
The service-address field offers suggestions as you type. Those suggestions come from Google’s Places service, which means the characters you type into that field are sent to Google in real time. Google’s handling of that data is governed by Google’s privacy policy.
How we use information
We use the information you give us to obtain quotes for the address and services you specified, to contact you about those quotes and next steps, to answer your questions, to keep records of the requests we have handled, and to improve the site and our service. We use analytics data in aggregate to understand which pages and content are useful.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising on other sites.
Who we share it with
Carriers and service providers. Obtaining a quote requires telling a carrier where the service is needed and what is being requested. When you submit a quote request, we share the service address, the requested services and bandwidth, and, where a carrier requires it to price or qualify a request, your company name and contact details. We share only with carriers and providers that can plausibly serve the address, and only for the purpose of pricing your request. Carriers may retain that information under their own policies, and if you go on to order service from a carrier, your relationship with that carrier is governed by its terms and privacy policy.
Service providers to us. We use third parties to host the site, process form submissions, provide analytics and address suggestions, and run our email and phone systems. They receive only what they need to perform those services for us.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property or safety of QuoteFiber, our clients or others.
Business transfers. If New Vision Technology Group, Inc. or the QuoteFiber service is acquired, merged or reorganized, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and related correspondence for as long as needed to complete the request and support any resulting service, and afterward for a reasonable period for record-keeping, dispute resolution and legal compliance. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the analytics provider. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see “Your choices”).
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and access to submitted information is limited to the people who need it to handle your request. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the kind of information we hold.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to correct, export or delete the information we hold about you or your company, to stop contacting you, or to tell you which carriers a request was shared with. Email hello@quotefiber.com and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws; we honor those requests regardless of your state. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on. The site will still work if analytics is blocked.
Children
QuoteFiber is a business-to-business service and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be posted on this page, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
