BCN Telecom
A Morristown, NJ aggregator that combines dedicated internet, broadband and wireless from many carriers into one managed service, with one bill and one support desk. We quote it for multi-site networks, not for a single fiber circuit.
The short answer
BCN Telecom does not own last-mile fiber. It is a CLEC, founded in 1994, that buys dedicated internet, cable, fiber and wireless from hundreds of network and technology partners and resells them as one managed network with a single invoice and US-based support. That model pays off when you have many sites on mixed access types and want one vendor accountable for all of them. For one high-capacity fiber circuit, buying from the underlying carrier is usually simpler and often cheaper, so we quote both.

What BCN Telecom offers
BCN sells what it calls Network as a Service: dedicated internet access, fiber, broadband and wireless from multiple carriers, combined into one managed connection with intelligent failover, proactive monitoring and one bill. Access can be built from DSL, fiber, cable or wireless at each site, and BCN orders and tracks circuits from many carriers through one desk and one customer portal.
On top of access, BCN offers managed SD-WAN through Cato Networks, Adaptiv Networks, Bigleaf Networks, Cisco Meraki and Peplink, with SASE available in select solutions. Its 5G and 4G LTE plans are sold for primary, secondary or failover use, and BCN describes its unlimited wireless plans as having no data caps or overage fees. A satellite option starts at 35/4 Mbps for remote sites.
Voice is a large part of the business: cloud voice (UCaaS), SIP and SIP PRI, cable voice, and a POTS-over-LTE service for alarm, elevator, fax and other analog lines being moved off copper.
Where they are strongest
Many sites, uneven coverage. Retail chains, healthcare groups, franchise networks and public-sector accounts where no single carrier is on-net everywhere. BCN picks the access at each address and puts it all under one contract.
Mixed access in one design. A fiber primary at headquarters, cable at branches and LTE backup everywhere, managed and billed as one network.
Copper retirement. BCN's POTS-over-LTE device uses dual-SIM LTE as the primary path with optional wired or broadband backup, and is sold as a fully managed service for life-safety and specialty lines.
Smaller IT teams. One phone number for every carrier ticket is worth real money when you have no network staff at the sites.
How we quote them
We bring BCN in when a client has many locations, mixed access types, or a short IT bench. Before a BCN quote goes next to anyone else's, we confirm:
Which carrier is underneath each site. The underlying carrier sets the speed ceiling, install interval and real-world reliability. We name it on every line so you can compare it against buying that carrier direct.
Whose SLA you are signing. BCN does not publish an SLA on its site. Ask for the SLA, repair targets and credit terms in writing for each access type, since a cable or LTE site rarely carries the same commitment as dedicated fiber.
Path diversity on backup. If BCN supplies both primary and backup at a site, we check they are not riding the same building entrance.
For a single high-capacity fiber circuit, we usually quote the underlying carrier direct, and BCN only if you value the managed wrapper.

Alternatives
When another carrier fits better
One headquarters circuit at 1 Gbps or more. Buying direct from the facilities-based carrier in the building, such as Lumen, Verizon Business, AT&T Business or Comcast Business, removes a layer of margin and puts you on that carrier's own published SLA.
Very large or Fortune-scale rollouts. Granite runs a larger on-net footprint and a bigger installed base across the US and Canada. See Granite vs BCN Telecom for multi-site aggregation.
Global sites. Momentum markets reach in 80+ countries; BCN's site does not list international coverage in detail.
Cloud and data center interconnect. For private paths into AWS, Azure or Google from a colocation facility, Megaport is built for that job.

Frequently asked questions
Is BCN Telecom a carrier or a reseller?
BCN is a CLEC that does not own last-mile fiber; it buys access wholesale from hundreds of carrier and technology partners and resells it as a managed service. You get one contract, one bill and one support desk instead of a separate relationship with each carrier.
What is BCN Telecom Network as a Service?
It is BCN's bundle of dedicated internet, fiber, broadband and wireless from multiple carriers, delivered as one managed connection with failover, monitoring and a single invoice. The access at each site comes from whichever partner serves that address best.
Does BCN Telecom have an SLA?
BCN does not publish a numeric SLA on its website. In practice the uptime you get at each site depends on the underlying access: dedicated fiber usually carries a stronger commitment than cable or LTE. Ask for the SLA and credit terms per site in writing before you sign.
Is BCN Telecom cheaper than buying from the carrier directly?
Sometimes per site, often not for a single large circuit. The value of an aggregator is fewer contracts, one bill and one escalation path across many sites. We quote both ways so you can see what the managed wrapper costs.
Does BCN Telecom offer POTS line replacement?
Yes. BCN sells POTS over LTE for fire alarms, elevators, fax and other analog lines, plus cloud voice, SIP and cable voice. Its POTS-over-LTE service uses a dual-SIM LTE primary with optional wired or broadband backup. See POTS line replacement options for business.
Which SD-WAN platforms does BCN support?
BCN lists Cato Networks, Adaptiv Networks, Bigleaf Networks, Cisco Meraki and Peplink, with SASE available in select solutions. If you already run one of these, BCN can usually manage it on top of the access it supplies.
Granite or BCN Telecom for a multi-site network?
Both aggregate many carriers under one contract. Granite is larger and has its own on-net network; BCN is smaller, privately held and management owned. We quote both on most multi-site requests. See Granite vs BCN Telecom for multi-site aggregation.
